My beloved and we went to a mall yesterday, and we stopped in J.C. Penny. We motionless to check out a engagement rings there, and a salesman was display us a slew of rings, afterwards he told us about a sort of “Gem” called Moisannite. He pronounced which it’s lab created, and it looks, and tests usually similar to a diamond. On a softness exam it’s a single step next a diamond and a usually approach to discuss it which it’s essentially moissanite is by a “Moissanite test”. Was he usually full of it, or is it essentially value a purchase? He pronounced which we unequivocally can’t discuss it a disproportion in between a diamond and Moisannite by looks alone, nonetheless it was unequivocally pleasing all rings demeanour pleasing when your in a valuables store. The moisannite ring he showed me looked yellow. I’m usually wondering if this salesman was perplexing to have a sale, or either it’s unequivocally value a purchase.

From what I know, Moissanite looks a lot like the real thing, partciulalrly when compared to something like cubic zarconia. It supposedly has a lot of similiar characteristics to diamonds, and is supposed to appear the same to the untrained eye. I’ve seen several of them, and I think they look pretty close. I’m no professional jeweler though! The plus side is that you get a great looking ring for a price that doesn’t break your bank. And with all of that money you save you could even afford a larger stone. It’s all about preference. If you’re not that concerned with the status that comes with a genuine diamond, moisannite would be a great option!

    moissanite engagement rings

Moissanite is a lab creadted stone ( was originally found in a meteorite) that actually has 2x the brilliane and fire of diamonds. If the Moissanite you looked at was yellow, it might just be poor quality. The “moissanite test” it putting under a microscope with a light to look for refractions. Moissanite should look like White D Flawless diamonds. It ( in my opinion) is more bang for your buck and I would be less upset about losing my moissanite neckalce that I would be about losing my diamond earrings. Give it a try.

Depends on whether you like moissanite or not. The salesman is right in what he’s telling you. Moissanite do have a fire and sparkle brighter than some diamonds…however having said that, it’s still lab-created….so if you’re abit snobbish about it, go for the real thing.
